Your local in the heart of Cornwall
The Duke of Leeds is Leedstown's own — a proper Cornish local where everybody knows your name before long, and the welcome is genuine every single time. No gimmicks, no pretension. Just good beer, great food, and the warmth of a community pub that's been at the heart of village life for years.
Pull up a stool, get a round in, and settle in. Our staff are the sort you'll remember — friendly, unhurried, and genuinely happy to see you. Whether you're a regular who's been coming in for years or a visitor discovering Cornwall's back roads for the first time, you'll feel at home here the moment you walk through the door.
Everything we serve is made with care — real ales kept right, food cooked fresh to order, and a Sunday Roast that draws folk from right across the Penwith peninsula. This is what a Cornish local should be.

More than just a pub
Everything's cooked fresh in our kitchen — homemade gravies, proper mash, and puddings made from scratch. No shortcuts, no freezer meals. Just honest, hearty food the way it should be.
A full snooker hall for competitive frames or a casual knock-about. Whether you're a seasoned player or just fancy a go, you're welcome at the table.
Challenge your mates to a game of pool. The perfect excuse to stay for another pint.
When the Cornish sun makes an appearance, head outside to our beer garden. Long evenings, cold pints, good company — hard to beat.
A free house through and through — no brewery tie, so we choose ales on merit. Always well-kept, always worth trying something new off the hand pull.
Our staff are what makes The Duke special. Genuine, warm, and never too busy for a chat. Come in as a stranger, leave as a regular — that's the Duke of Leeds way.
Community at the heart of everything we do
The beating heart of Sunday in Leedstown. Served from noon until 2pm — Beef, Chicken or Nut Roast with homemade gravy, cauliflower cheese, four veg, and a proper Yorkshire Pudding. Book ahead to avoid disappointment, because tables go fast.
One of the highlights of the Leedstown calendar. A traditional Harvest Home celebration — good food, great company, and a real community spirit. An event that's been bringing the village together for years.
The Duke is proud to host the Leedstown Christmas Lights Committee meetings — part of what makes this more than just a pub. We're a proper part of village life, all year round.
